I go phases of wanting to self-host some sort of Fedi instance but I ask myself

• Would it be just single user instance or have multiple of people and if so, how many?

• What would be the instance for and is anyone would be interested?

• How long would I keep the instance running for?

How do you exactly figure out the answer to it as I have questions but can't exactly answer it. 🤔

I been looking at PeerTube client for Linux as way to try watch PeerTube content again but trying to follow channels was bit fiddly to do. On PeerTube's documentation, I seen Cuttlefish has been suggested which looking at the git repo it hasn't been updated since 3 years which unsure if it still be useable? Otherwise, I want to know some good GUI PeerTube Client for Linux.

My DAC has arrived today and went to town to get RCA cables for my audio system. So now it can play audio from my Dreamcast via RCA and play audio from my computet/laptop via USB.

Is there a way to add a custom icon manually to the preexisting items like Power Manager and Update Manager on a XFCE Panel? I assuming the icon set doesn't have an icon for it so I think I had to do it manually

Anyone that has done Linux Ricing, what is best way to edit the .CSS files so I get a preview of the colour to make it easier to understand what that colour is instead of having to copy and paste it to a colour picker on GIMP?

Is there some cool Skeuomorphism theme for Linux? Ideally would want it compatible for XFCE and have sort of a 2000s vibe.

Think Windows XP - Windows 7 before Microsoft did flat UI. Also I don't want it to try to be EXACTLY like Windows, otherwise I just find XP Themes lol

Is there any Gen-Z here on Fedi?

At times, I feel like the only one which feels awkward as if I'm a token Zoomer on here and rest of them are on centralized social media and Fedi is full of Gen X and millennials. Nothing wrong with that, it just feel weird like there's only few Zoomers like me on here and is hard to not notice. 😅

I'm wanting to learn Python which is something I tend to give up easily, mainly just from being in high school environment (class being noisy and distracting) and just quickly scanning through the more complex stuff and give up despite I'm not even at that stage to learn it yet.

What are your ways to learn something that has a learning curve as well as just motivate yourself to learn it in the first place?
