Can anyone actually give me ANY reason there’s a gender marker on a passport or drivers license at all? To what purpose? Why is it a thing?
My drivers license was wrong for something like a year when I moved back here due to clerical error. Only got noticed by family. DMV laughed it off and replaced it no questions asked.
Side note. State system still can’t properly put my two middle names on my ID without a hyphen so it can never actually match my birth certificate… that could be “fun” …

To be clear, you SHOULD ask for what you want or need in any kind of actual human relationship. And women (hi) in particular have been socialized NOT to do that. But establishing and practicing the expectation that a relationship is a transactional thing in which if you don’t get exactly what YOU want then you just need to reprogram the code on the other end, or conclude it’s broken and toss it aside is a dangerous and lonely pattern to wire your brain to for “relationships”. Reading an article this morning about a woman spending hours interacting with a AI program she set up to interact like a “boyfriend”. Realized finally why I felt sick.
“Swipe culture” was already training us that all types of relationships are disposable and replaceable if they don’t check all our boxes or require compromise. Forming a relationship with computer code is training YOURSELF to keep manipulating your relationships to only cater to what YOU want.
