[#]EmergencyRally today in #Montreal at 5pm outside Immigration Minister Marc Miller’s office, 3175 Rue Saint-Jacques, in support of #ZainHaq, set to be deported tonight to Pakistan for peaceful #ClimateActivism—a first in North America. Zain is married to Sophia, a Canadian citizen. Last April, Zain was granted a temporary residency permit while spousal sponsorship was reviewed. This week it was denied without explanation. With growing repression of protests, we must stand up to this injustice.

Bee Platoon is the world's first #honeybee disaster response team, dedicated to protecting honey #bees during major disasters.

Please help bees and beekeepers who are victims of the Los Angeles wildfires. 

Bee Platoon urgently needs your help to fund the evacuation of hives, artificial pollen patties, fresh beekeeping tools and hives boxes to replace those that have been destroyed. We will also be doing swarm response to support first responders. I donated $11. #LAfires

This Labour Day ribbon from 1897 reminds us what a very long time we have been advocating for workers' rights. Then, to pay for expensive industrial equipment, factory owners demanded 12 to 16-hour shifts, 6 or 7 days a week, with no sick pay or compensation for injuries, at staggeringly low wages. Trade unions, collective bargaining and progressive legislation greatly improved lives and mandated safer working conditions, saving lives.💪🏻💪🏼💪🏽💪🏾💪🏿
