We just fixed some issues with using the Nextcloud apps with our #KaraDAV & #Akkoma integration here on outmo.de. There is also some ongoing works on updating our #Filestash app at https://files.outmo.de

Please let us know if you are interested in increasing your cloud storage space, as we might offer this to regular donators soon.

Ugh, looks like there are some unscrupulous AI scraper bots (totally ignoring robots.txt) trying to ingest as much code from public forges as they can. My #forgejo running server nearly overheated this morning trying to deal with what basically amounted to a DDOS attack from IP addresses distributed all over the world.

So what are we trying to do here on outmo.de ?

Well, for once it is just setting up an #akkoma instance that we would like to use ourselves, thus the goal isn't to grow this server to a big size.

Another primary goal is to develop and show-case an instance that is tightly integrated with #xmpp chat as we think private chat is a natural complement to a micro-blogging website.

To this extend, we are going to look into integrating either #conversejs or #jsxc into a akkoma-fe soft-fork for easy use. Guest access via a #xmpp-web client is also being considered.

We would also like to offer a #slidge XMPP gateway to people contributing to the operation of this website and might also provide some other complementary cloud services to donators.

So lets join forces to outmode the old centralized web :nkoHype:
