If increase in FGD=inflation, then the following scenarios are equally inflationary
FGD
=>
| [increase spending] | [cut spending slower than cut taxes]

Just finished Deficit Myth by Stephanie Kelton. I have an MMT question.
FGS=Federal Gov spending; FTR=Federal tax revenue; FGD=Federal Gov deficit. Where FGS-FTR=FGD.
What is the difference btw
(FGS+20)-FTR and FGS-(FTR-20)?
FGS+20-FTR=FGS-FTR+20=>FGD is same in both cases.
So if CPC cuts taxes before cutting spending (as Harper did) that is the same as if any other party increases spending without adding taxes.

Or maybe make it even simpler by producing a list of one non CPC candidate per riding for tactical voting. We have a broken electoral system let’s simply exploit it. Here’s what they did in UK.

This idea to prevent a CPC majority has potential if we all get behind it.

What if we are all believing in a deficit myth?

CFP is scheduled to hold a press conference in Ottawa today (2024Aug14) possibly to announce their 2 candidates in the upcoming federal by elections. Since our corporate media is largely dysfunctional we may not see much coverage. I believe we desperately need this disruptive force in place for next federal election to avoid a disastrous CPC majority outcome.
