Today, I was sworn in for my second term in the Montana House of Representatives.

I am honored to get to represent Missoula once again, and am ready to fight on behalf of Montana's constitution and all the people who call our great state home.

I've had heart-to-hearts with Republican women who needed consoling after their leadership yelled at them. There are freedom caucus members who regularly call me their sister.

There's kindness behind closed doors. But when the cameras are on, they all bend the knee to hate.

One wild aspect of elected office is way Republicans use LGBTQ politicians as a confessional booth.

Nearly every day in Montana, Republicans would apologize for their votes, tell me they wish the culture war would move on, etc.

But rarely would they actually change their vote.

Well said! Every attack on trans people is an effort to both:

• manufacture rage for distraction/fundraising purposes

• drive trans people out of public life

And the logistics of the policies always boil down to Republicans making cis women less safe while blaming trans people.

Montanans voted to send an additional 9 Democrats to the state House of Representatives—the largest gain for Dems in over 30 years.

By shattering the Republican supermajority, Democrats have shown that when we are unwavering in our values, we are rewarded at the ballot box.
