Net als TU/e draaien bijna alle Nederlandse Universiteiten, Hogescholen en overheden op Microsoft-diensten. Dat we daarmee ons ten eerste hebben overgeleverd aan de grillen van een Amerikaanse techreus + overheid en ten tweede enorm kwetsbaar geworden zijn, lijkt nog onvoldoende doorgedrongen te zijn. Tijd om andere keuzes te gaan maken in Europa.

Met zo'n oppositie heb je natuurlijk helemaal geen coalitie meer nodig, hè.

It is maddeningly frustrating to see the discussion on X/Twitter alternatives constantly shift towards functionality and usability while it should be about ownership, accountability, funding and power distribution.

I totally understand it, don’t get me wrong. But when are we going to learn?

Just a reminder that Tesla has sold over 6 million cars globally.

Tesla’s are equipped with camera’s all around and inside, plus acoustic and ultrasonic sensors. They store large amounts of this sensory data and have an active uplink to the company. Tesla already offers a wide range of services concerning fleet monitoring and telemetry.

I hope I’m overreacting and get to be proven wrong, but any Tesla would be a great surveillance vehicle for the US government.

I am afraid that every country needs to learn about authoritarianism the hard way. In NL, we did so 80 years ago and still have a really hard time putting the lessons to good use these days.

Nee, er gebeurt juist heel veel. Nieuwe serverparken die stroom en water slurpen, de vastgelopen transitie van de intensieve veehouderij waar 15 miljard uit getrokken is, de lobby om de maatregelen voor uitstootvrije binnensteden terug te draaien en natuurlijk rode diesel.

Nee NOS, Chemours, 3M en ander chemiebedrijven zijn de belangrijkste oorzaak van hoge concentraties PFAS in eieren. Regenwormen zijn hier vooral het slachtoffer (en daarmee kippen en daarmee eieren en daarmee mensen.)
