i tried to blend my style of lead with davey’s and i think it comes through quite well
slower solos over a quiet rhythm section are always so exposing; this isn’t perfect by any stretch

a friend i used to be in a band with asked me if i could write some music to put to a bunch of lyrics she's been writing to process some difficult emotions
this is what i've got so far. just tabbed out in guitar pro and exported as an mp3, so forgive the actual production; the eventual recorded output will sound orders of magnitude better
anyway, it's very much a WIP. there are a bunch of segues that i'm really not satisfied with, and my attempt to go for a more disco beat during the second verse section just sounds muddled
still, it's been fun to start writing a tune from scratch, and this one feels like the product of listening to bunches of ghost with a smidge of mastodon thrown in there
