A quick update.. while the TikTok app is back up and running in the U.S., the app itself is still not available on either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. This means it won’t be able to be updated and runs the risk of the app being rendered unusable.

Since nobody seems to know what's going to happen to TikTok in the U.S. tomorrow, you might try Loops. It’s designed to be a privacy-focused alternative to TikTok. It will eventually part of the Fediverse, so it will allow users of Mastodon to follow Loops accounts. It's still in beta testing, but is certainly worth looking at.
