It could be useful to provide a default library of Styles - something like the presets #darktable already features for single modules, but that could affect the image using multiple modules.
Something like that could be used for #Film Simulations, too, including Filmic or Tone equalizer settings, Color Calibration, grain, etc.

I'm really glad we have #darktable - a free and open application to edit our photos with.
I also kinda understand the reasoning behind focusing on a few core modules that are so flexible and powerful that can achieve so many different results (as the Diffuse or Sharpen module for example).
But, on the other side, I think many users will never get to use those modules because they look so advanced and "scary".

After reading #darktable documentation on the Bloom module https://docs.darktable.org/usermanual/4.8/en/module-reference/processing-modules/bloom/ and seeing that it was deprecated in the modern pipeline, I set out to try and replicate the effect using the Exposure module.
I ended up using Exposure AND Diffuse or Sharpen (with the Bloom preset) using parametric masks.
The process was so convoluted that I refuse to cover it with an article, I'll probably just share the style with the settings I used.

Published another article about #Darktable with #OpenCL for #AMD #ROCm on #Debian (SID)... I finally got it working (again) :)

Tomorrow I'll send away my #Canon EOS R and #Fujifilm X-E4 in exchange for a new (used) Canon EOS R5.
It feels weird. My EOS R has been my inseparable companion for over 5 years now, but I was feeling some of the limitations of the R body.
I loved the SOOC photos from my Fuji (hated the AF, though) but I haven't used it much lately.
I'll add some photos that were important for me during these years. Check the alt-text.
