Fedi notifications are interesting
I look at it and "oh, some people liked a thing", but somehow I don't feel like it would be better if more people liked it, or more people shared it.
When I read the notifications I don't feel like "aah, this is more feedback for how i should craft my posts" or "that one is doing much better, I wonder what caused that".
It feels more like the kind of "Thank you" you get when you hold a door or get something down from a high shelf at the grocery store, like, it's not a hard-core social validation and proof that I matter, that people love my persona, that I'm worth something, that the world needs my opinion.
This might be the meds talking, who knows?

No better feeling than trying to reverse engineer your own code from 3 years ago and finding out that the db you designed has a schema based on the "A good model would make it easy to implement X in the future, so i'll add the columns for it now"-based design
I definitely would have built those features, if there was even the remotest call for them, which there has not been on this mostly abandoned project.
I just need one bit of data out of it. Past me, please. Why have you done this?

Also, any time travellers reading this, can you please make it so it's less trouble to stick binary content into html / markdown, just so I don't find pages and pages of 6 times migrated posts saying "that thing you want to do is super easy, you fucking idiot, you do it like this:
[X image is not available]"

"Designing PCBs with kicad is so easy", they say while accidentally adding a measurement annotation to the PCB Cut layer and watching the 3d model get cut by the markers at each end, making the measurement shorter than spec

Oh, i just got test results working in my gitlab CI jobs... only thing is they only turn up at the "pipeline" level, and I only have one step, so it's always 2 clicks away, and it looks like they're only really useful if you do merge requests instead of just blasting code on main
definitely a [check watch] jesus, is it that late already...
