Dalí created many paintings featuring flowers as the focal point, but this one is my favorite.

While I couldn’t find an official date, it seems to have been created sometime in the 1940s.

I find it absolutely beautiful.

I thought about buying a scratch pad that can be attached to the couch upholstery.

The cat has been terrorizing me for weeks (not scratching there, but everywhere around it).

I removed it from her favorite corner (not that it matters anymore). A few minutes later, she went back, discreetly scratched it there, and then came over to purr at my feet with a sly squint.

Well, I guess that’s settled then.

It seems my usability-related rants aren’t done for today. I was used to how Figma handled setting up properties, but now they’ve redesigned everything, turning a simple process into a multi-step headache.

Why can’t software development companies just leave well-functioning features alone and focus on solving actual problems?

I hate the iOS 18.1.1!

I can’t find deleted photos AT ALL, though I checked all the settings. Also, when I add an image to a mail, the keyboard disappears and I have to save it as draft and reopen to have a keyboard again - this is absolutely not user friendly, this is not an improvement.

Let’s say, hypothetically, that I understand the motivation for electing Trump (I don’t, but let’s treat this as a thought experiment). What I can’t wrap my head around is how Trump supporters can come to terms with the fact that he’s an actual criminal. Does this really align with their values and feel acceptable to them?

% According to that, I had to record the talk in a 20 minutes format. I replied OK I'm gonna do that, but if there's any opportunity to speak live, I'd love that. They told me that I'll need to buy my own flight tickets, be present at the speaker dinner and next day on the live talks, and if someone is out, I can be there instead. This is already wrong on so many levels, but I am still doing it, because I need to build my brand.

I've been invited to a conference as a speaker. Initially, the organizers couldn't state, if I'm going to speak on stage or remotely, on a pre-recorded video. After couple of weeks of waiting, and multiple feedback from me, stating that I'd prefer speaking on stage, they told me that I'm going to speak online and I have to record my talk. I thought, that's not what I expected, but at least I'll have 40 minutes to speak. A few days later they sent me the instructions to the recording. %
