Tough day out cycling today in the Costa Blanca. Not far but just above freezing point up in the hills. Many professional riders caught out with wearing shorts/short sleeves. A bottle of wine with dinner, I think.

Depressing report on Blackpool in the Guardian today. As someone born in Blackpool I can categorically confirm how my friends and I coped: we left, because there were few jobs with a future. Not one of us lives there now. The key is quality work but don’t ask how we attract it. Very sad.
