I’ve been unemployed just over a week and I still have the unhealthy urge to check my work email before I go to sleep at night.

It was unhealthy while I was working, too.

My entire team, along with my manager, at least one other whole office, and some senior people in other places, all got made redundant due to “not headcount reductions” (which have clearly reduced headcount), for “a change of strategy” (from what, to what? I wasn’t told). At least it wasn’t personal, I guess?

I’m going to take the rest of the year out, unless something spectacularly interesting appears, then start looking in 2025.
