Anyone else finding Asunder is just sitting there, flashing the drive light occasionally? It did the CDDB lookup ok. I've tried an update and upgrade...

Hang on... it's fine with other CDs. "Fragile" by Yes rips fine on Mrs Walrus's Apple, but not on here, so I suspect some kind of copy protection shit is happening.

One of the things I hadn't sorted out since dumping Windows was the ability to switch to a Greek keyboard.

It's actually easier in Mint than Windows, just have a look in the main menu, at Preferences Keyboard, and it follows from there.

No restart needed, of course. Little Union Flag icon changes to a Greek flag, και Ο Μπομπ είναι θείος σου.

I had an email, congratulating me on having a Live Journal account for 16 years.

"I wonder what that is", I thought.

No idea what the login or password might be, but there's one post from me, which says "I notice comments I make on here don't seem to appear anywhere."

Marked it as spam, and blocked it.

I cooked a duck the other day, and as you do, I boiled up the remains to make stock. I was about to freeze it, but Mrs Walrus suggested ramen for dinner, and I have to say, it was rather good. Very warming, and satisfying.

That's ham in the bowls, as the remaining duck meat had already gone into a duck and mushroom pasta dish.

I just had an email from last year's source of Seville oranges. I still have half of my purchase in our big freezer, having used 2 Kg to make marmalade already. Buy some of these, if you're thinking of making marmalade, it will be excellent, especially if you follow the recipe on my blog...
