Looked into getting our recycling/waste collection info into Home Assistant. There’s a popular integration, but it insists on using Selenium to drive a browser?! Bashed together a script to scrape the page and output JSON instead.

“The prime minister says he wants people to look back on this generation and be proud of what was started today, in a similar way to how "we're all proud of our history".”
Errrrrr… I’m really no historian, but I would never claim to be “proud of our history” without several caveats. There’s brief flashes of genius, mixed into a whole pile of really not-good stuff, to put it politely.

@ivory when Ivory receives a notification and I’m in the app, it shows a banner at the top… but doesn’t update the notifications nor mentions feeds, so I have to pull-to-refresh to read the full reply (I assume I could tap the notification, but often I miss it or am doing something else).
Is this by design? Could there be an option to refresh the relevant feeds? Thanks for reading!

@siracusa I'm completely lost during your screenshotting for filenames. What are you taking a screenshot of at that point? Photos? How do you get it to show filenames? I can't find any option to get that displayed.
Easier suggestion: select all the photos (or use a smart album), export them with original filename to a temporary directory?

@panic does this error mean I finally have to find a new iOS app for uploading to S3-compatible storage? I know Transmit has been retired for a while now. 🙂

Do any containerization nerds follow me? (👀 @Marcus)
I’m migrating an old project to a new server, and since it needs some really old versions of things until I can update it properly, a container seems well-suited. However, while I can get it running, I can’t work out the “right” way to execute timely tasks. The Alpine Linux base image doesn’t run cron, and my attempts to configure and run it haven’t worked. What do people normally do? Use the host OS to schedule things?
