There are a lot of Indian students in Berlin now, I can see that.

And yes, sometimes they are young and not aware of all the German cultural rules and behavioural aspects.

But I have seen a little advice and education helps and judging / shouting at someone is not the ideal way.

So my apartment entrance is built in a way that if you have the keys you can take the stairs, otherwise someone buzzes you in and then you need to take the elevators.

Y'day, someone got upset because my wife took the elevator to our first floor.

She said that this was wasting electricity!

My wife explained that she did not have the keys and the elevator was being used by her anyways ..

The neighbour ranted about students in the building .. I just guess she was upset with our skin color 🤷🏾‍♂️

Now in India if someone is not "pro-government" then there is always some way to find some law they have broken.

Laws for thee, but none for me. Also, in such cases all are guilty until proven innocent (somehow).

Quite simply put, the administration is firmly on the path to be like their northern neighbours.
