I go through a transport hub in the mornings. Most people are like me, somber, rushing to work.

I saw a person who was walking slowly and smiling happily so naturally I thought they were high, because only chemical imbalance in the brain would explain that pace and that smile.

Now I feel sad for the rest of us.

People who annoy me #69789465:

Those who have special paper napkins printed with company initials to impress their guests.

Especially when the company belongs to the State and those who use them do so at home.

Could you waste money in a more useless way?

Especially when it's my tax money which you otherwise do not want to give for social services. But paper napkins are a priority expenditure.

Μιας και άνοιξε συζήτηση για τα "Ωνάσεια Σχολεία" να διευκρινίσω κάτι:

Η Φινλανδία έχει μερικές δεκάδες ιδιωτικά σχολεία, αλλά τους ΑΠΑΓΟΡΕΥΕΙ δια ροπάλου να είναι κερδοσκοπικά.

Έτσι π.χ. υπάρχει Γαλλόφωνο σχολείο, αλλά ανήκει σε ένα ίδρυμα του Συλλόγου Γονεών, δεν είναι κερδοσκοπικό, απλά έχει διαφορετικό τρόπο διοίκησης.

I frequently meet a specific high school student during my morning commute.

He dresses up like a late 1800's grandfather: cape, tall hat, old style bag, suit, shoes, everything. He even holds a walking stick, sometimes, not due to injury or condition, but for the style.

Everything about him screams "Please give me some attention because my parents don't and I clearly need it".

Sort of sad.

Yesterday I walked into a company which used to be my dream-place to work.

Not any more, but I still got butterflies in my stomach, just for being there and thinking "what if..."

All those "what ifs" we can't let go of in our lives are so fucking annoying.

Looking at the news today and I get a feeling of annoyment.

I enjoy watching people who look at me and try to figure out if I am middle eastern or am I wearing a kuffiya for support.

Staring is reportedly a problem in Finland but I think it's just people trying to figure out without asking directly (which would be invasion of privacy).

My Palestinian friend asked me what I wanted as a present, for all the support I have been offering all this time.

I did not want to offend them, so I replied "maybe a kuffiya, at some point, no rush".
