I climbed up to her, circled around the snowbank really fast, hid from her. I even played dead a couple times, feet up on the side of the snowbank. She. Did. Not. Want. To. Move.
The story isn't that, though. The story is that when I came back home, I remembered that this isn't just a light pole, it's a set of security cameras 🫠

No pep day today! Moxxi barely moved from her spot outside and felt super cranky.
Yesterday was very pupsetting with all the demolition noises in the next unit, plus the storm in the evening that was making scary noises in the new skylight.
This is your sign that it's ok to rest and recharge if you've gone through some stuff! Even puppies do it!

BTW if you have a dog-friendly business in a city, now's the time to start advertising HARD. Lots of us are cancelling our subscriptions, which means going to brick-and-mortar stores. Today was the last day of construction work inside of the unit for a few weeks. Only the foreman was here to put the finishing touches (kinda, it's still all drywall). At some point, I had to yeet Moxxi out of there by her collar. "Sorry", I said, "she really likes ears and you're working at corgi level."

There's a guy on #Tiktok who had a geriatric #dog ( a new one now) who would either stand up or lay back down when propped up. It was a bones or a no bones day and people would follow that more religiously than their horoscope.
Moxxi has peppy days, when the walk is a speed-run of the neighborhood. There are no-pep days, when she barely makes it out of the building and wants to lay down as soon as we've hit the park.
