Sorry, no photo... The dish was demolished before we realized.
We had mushrooms baked with thyme and onions, beluga lentils, pumpkin cubes and chestnuts. Some olive oil.
(We also added left-over bacon and sausage, but that was just extra and in no way necessary.)
Put everything with port syrup, cayenne, salt and pepper in an oven dish, let it come together for half an hour and -- well, there was not enough left to take a picture.
Perfect for today's autumn weather.

Okay, complicated story. Veggie friends had a live-in high-up party-cadre Chinese exchance student who never left her room and cooked for herself.
She left behind a stack of ingredients, we were given because friends don't know Asian food.

I was once, in the late eighties, thrown out of a bookshop because I was making notes of prices of books; I wanted to figure out which printed-in-India language books I could afford for that month, by carefully adding up prices.
So I couldn't buy any.
And then, much later, when I went to Bengaluru for work, and got into a big bookshop and found Hodgon's inventory of languages of India, I couldn't buy it either.

I decided never to go to fosdem anymore even before the covid pandemic started: I would always get home and fall ill. It already was very rare to be able to attend any presentation because everything would be packed beyond capacity, and if you could get into a room... Well, the presentation would pretty much always turn out to be really disappointing.
And when giving a presentation, even as an invited guest speaker, as I was, once, everyone in the room would be drunk or hung-over.
