I was trying to transfer many large video files from my Mac, to an Ubuntu machine over my LAN. The destination was an NTFS formatted external hard drive connected to the Ubuntu machine.

Using ForkLift via SFTP would often fail. Using Transmit over SFTP would also often fail.

What worked? Good old reliable rsync. Worked without fail.

My reading of the spec would say no, it's not.

But most online JSON validators say that is it.

As for AI, Google Gemini tells me that it is valid JSON. But it also tells me it's not valid JavaScript Object Notation.

ChatGPT tells me it's not valid JSON, nor valid JavaScript Object Notation.
