Finally took the #freecad part design tutorial at the end of last year. It's brilliant, so much easier than other ways I've been making parts. This 3 pin 0.1" wire housing was a doddle to make.

Trying to run an ASAN build in docker today and running into the error message

LeakSanitizer has encountered a fatal error.
For debugging, try setting environment variable LSAN_OPTIONS=verbosity:1:log_threads=1
LeakSanitizer does not work under ptrace (strace, gdb, etc)

Solution 1 is to run the docker image with --privileged.

If that isn't enough, solution 2 is to check the value of /proc/sys/fs/suid_dumpable. If it's 2, then set it to 1: echo 1 > /proc/sys/fs/suid_dumpable

A friend of mine made this great #lasercutter #unicycle design. I have one and it's lovely. https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1814870043/a-laser-cutter-file-for-a-working?ref=share_v4_lx

I recently renewed the server running test.mosquitto.org for another year. If you've benefitted from it, or mosquitto and can afford it I'd be grateful for a donation to help pay for it. I don't need a lot - I pay something like $300/year. Current donations are ~$20/year. If you'd like to contribute, there are some links for paypal/github on https://test.mosquitto.org/

It's been rightly pointed out that this doesn't have good contrast, so here's a version that distinguishes more clearly between the grey and the blue

[#]Mosquitto #mqtt is used nearly everywhere in the world. This is a map of installed locations for the snap package (which isn't even the most popular installation method). Used in 171 territories and only a very small amount of grey, where it is not used

Back in around February 2017, I created a self-serve service so people could generate client SSL certificates for #mqtt testing on test.mosquitto.org. It's generated 18881 certificates since then, or around 6-7 per day on average.

This is exactly the sort of thing that #oggcamp is about!

And here is the output! I'm impressed (although it's nowhere as good as the other examples which are really very good)

Sat in an #OggCamp2024 talk by @megjlow on Open Source #Embroidery . There are some amazing designs, both mathematically derived and artistic.

I also tried out turtlestitch earlier, which is a scratch/turtle like embroidery design app. Here's my attempt.

I am going to #oggcamp this weekend. I'm going to leave a very few #mosquitto #mqtt pin badges on the swap table.

I'll also have a load of them with me available to buy for £1 each.

It's extremely heartening that after a time of neglect (by me), I've asked for help getting the mosquitto issues in order, and two people have immediately stepped up to do just that. I've been getting fairly regular updates in my inbox and the path to "issue 0" has resumed.
