OK. Glass build plate installed. New heatblock installed (and Z-offset calibrated because new heatblock means new nozzle means new calibration).

Now printing a test calibration cat.

I just have to remember to keep repeating to myself- I wanted a hobby that let me tinker...

Breadbot is set for dough at 5:45, jalapeno rings are finished.

Checklist now includes:

Minimal - get, peel, dice, spice, and UFO (air fry) minimum one turnip. Dice tomato, ribbon up carrot, dice a pickle, shred some lettuce.

The only effort-intensive thing now required (as opposed to optional, and taking a very liberal view towards the word "effort-intensive") is to make the pita when I get home.

If I lay in some pink pickled turnips for next time, that's a bonus. Toum, also a bonus.

I admit this is partly an excuse to try the canned hummus.

This will also not be QUITE perfect because typically I'd want pickled turnips but I don't have any in the fridge right now.

Also I have to decide if I'm making toum or not- it's delicious but it's also something that my wife shouldn't eat and also really loves. (2/2)

Today's dinner will be MINIMUM EFFORT:

Breadmaker set up with pita dough

Make the quick jalapeno pickles at lunch

Stop at the grocery store on the way home from Cynical Hour to grab some turnips and tomato

Dice up one turnip and throw it in the UFO

While that cooks, make the pitas, ribbon a carrot and also set up pink pickled turnips for next time

Dinner: Roasted turnip with canned hummus in fresh pita w/ tomato, pickle, jalapeno, ribboned carrot, lettuce. (1/2)

OK, stopping long enough to listen to Sides B-D as well was the correct choice.

Played my first #MagicTheGathering event in almost twenty years tonight, #FNM Commander. The Bloomburrow set is enough like #Redwall to have caught my interest, and friends were playing as well. I bought a pack of 800 mixed commons (7-13 copies of every common in the set), added basic lands and backfilled with out-of-set singles into an all-common-but-the-Commander PDH deck.
