Looking at the final results of US POTUS elections of 2024, with Harris loosing roughly 6mil voters who voted for Biden in 2020 while the convicted felon gaining 3mil... Is it really the working class that abandoned Harris or is it as usual the wealthy winging class who saw minor tweaks being done to address inequality and panicked as a continuation of those policies to next level and FTC/DOJ posturing againt their tech darlings etc would threaten their own wealth and privileges?.

People who believe impending climate disaster is the great equalizer that will end this gilded age, billionaire power and oligarchies... I have a Tesla to sell to you with FSD that only need cameras to do that. Yes it will be a disaster for 99% but definitely not for the 1%.

Based on NZ and US elections, I question somethings I believed could be true are false.

1. Most people are not "good or decent". They are very selfish, self centered, greedy, bigoted, racist, sexist, LGBTQ+ phobic etc and are happy to unite themselves as one even if they don't belive in all the bad just to get what they want making "good" people a minority.

2. With above being true, pretending left policies somehow attract them is just a fantasy when selfishness & greed is Key.

The biggest mistake good people make in every election is assuming that majority of people are like them wanting the best for everyone, caring for the most vulnerable etc etc. No. Majoriry of people are plain evil, greedy, racsict, sexist, bigoted, LGBTQ+ phobic or whatever under the sun you can name it. They will always all unite happily to get what they want. That makes people who aren't like them always a minority.

I keep saying so called US Grern party voters voting for a know russian asset saying if their choice bring Trump to power that's no worse than Harris.

Not worse for who? Palestinians? Rest of middle east like Lebonan and evem Iran? How about LGBTQ+, women and people of color in USA itself? Rest of the world?

All these pockets of people seem to be anti LGBTQ+, pro life or racist GOP voters who feel they are morally superior to fellow MAGA and don't want Harris in power.
