I don't often go on Facebook, but the one rare time I did a week back, I had 5 ads presented to me that were clearly scams. It either involves a celebrity food critic or an Australia federal government minister. Supposedly they appeared in an interview interview on some well know TV show or News segment. I normally couldn't care less, but it was implied that they admitted they got rich through some scheme, and clearly said something along the lines of, "I came across this website", and mentioned some link shortener live on air before either the PM, the Treasury or some financial regulator intervened and had the recording stopped immediately.
I have no idea what the link led to, but it was dodgy as hell. Reported it to Facebook. They came back 3 days later saying that the automated reviewer found nothing breaching advertising standards. Appealed the decision, today got the result that again, no breach after being reviewed by a combination of human and automatic reviewing. There was no place to submit my reasoning. How do they let these things go through??

People who work in the Australian TV advertising industry, I have a question. Why do most ads that's been imported from overseas often soften the music and put the most boring voiceover they can find that seems to lack enthusiasm. I can understand dubbing for a local market, but why does it sound so boring?
