I missed the 10-year birthday of my last album. Fitting, considering I stopped working on it right when it was starting to get interesting.

Updated another personal project to be public domain.

Wrote a little placard for a readme. Obscure Trek references, iced takes, the usual.

What is the project? Who cares. Point is, it's a nice little thing I made for myself. I use it a lot and—called shot—I think I'll still be using it in a decade.

This is a good thread about how we represent things. I had fun trying to imagine things that belong in different cells of this matrix.

Oh wait it’s 100m TOTAL chips? I thought I had to make the blue number 100m. 🤦

This is what startup losers mean when they say “on hard mode”

Oh, this would have made the ‘reduce hand to 5’ voucher so much easier. Thankfully, the game is broken! (Like, is it possible to get 100m chips without plasma? Probably!)

secret weird things people do

When I get a new game, I always open the Options menu first.

When I get a new program, I always open the Preferences menu first

When I get a new device, I always open the Settings menu first.

There are now dozens (plural) of implementations of 2222, the tiny silly programming game that allows you to achieve a transcendental state in less than 30 minutes with no prior training. In the future, doctors will recommend you play this game every morning and twice in the evening.

If you want to rapid-prototype gestural interfaces on iPad using web tech, check out this tiny starter project.

It gives you simultaneous 240 Hz Pencil + touch input on iPad, with a PointerEvents fallback for other devices.

This is how we prototyped Inkbase, Crosscut, Inkling, and [shhh it's still unannounced]. Alex is using it for his Sketchpad remake, even.

It's public domain, so you can go all ‘Ship of Theseus’ on it, worry free.

Is it true that the perlin & simplex noise patents expired? I've been avoiding playing with them (because… fuck patents), but if they're free then hooo boy do I ever have a blog post to finish up.
