What really stands out to me in all this is the core issue that America has never reconciled, and constantly kicks down the road. Whether this country was meant to be a vehicle to remove the yoke from the entrepreneurial class or, though unequivocally hypocritical in many areas, it was intended to be an ever advancing standard-bearer for individual freedom of all people.

Which is the real philosophical foundation, the corporate charter or the Declaration of Independence?
