Spouse is out walking the dog, while I prepare the Eagles-themed cocktail of the afternoon. A little early for drinking usually, but need something to help with the nerves.

I think we just passed the point where my fear of the #Lions at some point in the future has been swamped by my sympathy for their franchise. They had such a great season, they don't deserve to end it here. (Except, you know, they totally contributed to their own demise tonight!) 🏈

Confession: we are watching the Houston-LA Wildcard game on Nickelodeon. 🤣 It's sort of hilarious for a game you're not too invested in, and it's a great entry point for kids who find the sport impenetrable! "So, they're going to try to run one play and then kick a field goal?" "Yes! the average play takes about 6 seconds, and they have 9 seconds left before halftime..." And, I mean, a successful kick celebrated with oysters shooting confetti? It's just a hoot.

Definitely snowing, but going to need to pick up the pace if we're going to put 3-4 inches on the ground. Still, I appreciate waking up to a snowy coating, and the dog was positively over the moon! Now it's hushed both inside and out.
