Wow. I only watched the last hour or so of the Democratic National Convention. From Pink and Willow singing "What about about Us" to #KamalaHarris burning the place down.

Words fail me. Fierce, Awesome, Wonderful, Blazing, Female, Clarity, Prepared, Gestalt, Thrilling, Transcendent, Humanity, Tsunami, Pendulum of History, and happy Joyfulness..

I am an old semi rural white guy. I was in tears several times..

Todays #SCOTUS ruling is pretty much what the Weimer government gave Hitler prior to the rise of the Nazi Reich.

So now that we have the immunity decision from #SCOTUS - what if current #POTUS decides the #Orange #ShitGibbon is a '...domestic threat to the constitution.." and takes 'official' action to " defend and protect " the constitution. What ever that means.. maybe an Executive Order that declares TFG a threat and takes ..."action".

Well meaning, rational thinking progressive liberals, are often are thoughtful and intelligent people.

Many however, without the fundamentalist background, fail to grasp essential elements of Christian fundamentalism and fail to understand the influence that it has on shaping the way millions of fundamentalists view the world.

Fundamentalism is marked by intolerance and a world-view based on ideology rather than reason, research, or facts.

Fundamentalists are highly motivated. They meet regularly with their peer group(s) to reinforce their belief systems. They network extensively and constantly. They are always "at war".

Most liberals see voting as a hiring decision - a mostly rational decision based on credentials, experience, and qualifications. The religious fundamentalist sees it as their duty in the on-going religious war.

Christian conservatives are well-organized, well-financed, diligent, and relentless.

They are also thoroughly conditioned to do as they are told, not ask questions, and fear opinions contrary to those of their leaders. As a result they make decisions based on ideology not reason.
