I visited a friend last night to watch Section 31. We always meet up to watch new Trek-related shenanigans. In doing so, I switched off my phone and completely missed the whole DeepSeek brouhaha. Honestly, watching the arse fall out of AI would have been a better way to spend my time. I cannot stop laughing. This is just hilarious.

After writing my article, I listened to the latest episode of @atpfm. I’d like to thank the gang for raising the issue of LGBTQ rights on the show. This kind of exposure from those most prolific in our corner of the internet is extremely appreciated. Thank you.

Yesterday, I watched Tim Cook—the world's most powerful gay CEO—stand and applaud as Trump proclaimed "there are only two genders." Today, I'm breaking my silence.

As a gay man in tech, Cook's coming out in 2014 changed everything for me. It gave me the belief that our community can be wildly successful while being authentic to who they are.

Yesterday, that same man donated $1M to celebrate a president hellbent on erasing us. The same Tim Cook who once said being gay was "God's greatest gift" now trades our dignity for power and profit.

I've written a deeply personal piece about this betrayal. About how it feels to watch someone who was supposed to be one of us sell out our community. About what it means for those of us who believed in Apple's progressive values.
