Here it is, the Asvine C2000. The dyed wood look and feels really good and the no. 8 stub nib is also great. Especially, as it's so rare to see such wide nibs on Chinese pens.
But it's wood ... so we'll have to see if it will hold up or crack eventually.

Getting slightly sick isn’t great for my wallet. I ordered two Asvine C2000s. 🤣 Great to see all the pens with #8 nibs come out these days. It will be fun to see what comes next (that is more accessible than the Junlai 900).

My translucent Majohn V60 arrived today. Pretty well made pen, but I had to immediately replace the fine nib. I ended up using a fude nib I made from a PenBBS nib.
Filling is a bit of a problem if you try to use samples (like I do) as it's just too wide. ;)

In 2024 I emptied 57 ink samples. 🎉
Some were dried out or super close to ink (looking at you Appelboom), some were horrible and just went down the drain (all of Noodler’s), and some I even used in my fountain pens. 🤣
I’ll continue next year, but I am sure my number will go down, because what’s left are the samples I can (and will) use in my pens.

It's new notebook day! Outgoing on the left is a Leuchtturm 1917 in B5 and incoming on the right is a Noble Note (also in B5). Custom artwork by my talented 14 year old daughter using acrylic markers. I've now added a see through cover and two bookmarks. Now the setup work can begin!

I took advantage of my bonus points at papierundstift.de to get a Midori 5 year journal. I’ve been super consistent with my journaling, so writing a few lines extra shouldn’t be too bad. And then that’s a journal I might actually keep. Unlike my normal ones, that I throw out once they’re full.

Not sure of the use of rollerballs that take #fountainpen ink (like this Online Bachelor). But at less than 5€ I sure can try it out.
A bit scratchy, but ink flow is good (with the included Royal Blue) and I will definitely try using some of my more interesting inks.
