Five seconds into a windy moonlight ski, an unseen branch grabbed my jacket hood. Momentum kept me going for a few feet, until the branch snapped back, lifting my feet and skis clear of the ground and unceremoniously body-slamming me. I lost an AirPod in the melee, but I used the “Find My” ping to locate it under 2 inches of packed corn snow while crawling on my hands and knees. Pretty good conditions though! #crosscountryskiing #nordicskiing #coloradosprings

One of the greatest ski days ever. It’s been snowing on and off for four days. Today is the heaviest yet. Snow almost to my knees, strong wind, ski wherever you want with no rocks. Ski in the road, no problem. I always ski grateful, but today was just pure fun. #crosscountryskiing #nordicskiing #coloradosprings
