This is an interesting #3dPrinting technique, for improved bed adhesion using a “peel-off” style raft.

Your preferred filament too sticky on the build plate? Not sticky enough?

Here, the raft layers are printed using a build plate friendly material (e.g. PLA); subsequent (model) layers can then be printed with your more troublesome stuff (e.g. TPU, ASA …)

Limited compatible material pairings are offset by them being really useful pairings.

So, remember when Oregon decided the war on some drugs was bad and decriminalized the act of possession of small quantities of scheduled substances?

I was incredibly disappointed when the ballot initiative to repeal basic human rights (the ones the DEA stole from us) was accepted by a majority of voters.

Hey Oregon friends,

I’m just studying up for my vote, and there’s this Measure 115 which gives impeachment powers to the legislature (replacing our present recall process, I guess?).

I’ve seen it endorsed by some truly loathsome people, but that alone isn’t enough to get me to vote against.

Is this just another attempt at tooling up for fascist-minority rule? Or are there good reasons for me to support it, too?

I’d like some better opinions.

Pretty much since the start of the COVID pandemic, Naomi Wu has been working to bring affordable high-quality far-UVC lights - deadly against pathogens, harmless to humans - to market.

I missed the product release announcement, but it’s alive! The devices output 222nm UVC for ~$150 per emitter. Each emitter is good for between 8 and 10m^3 of germicidal environment.
