@mawhrin jak nie Ty, to kto: mam taką zagwozdkę, normalnie na laptopie używam nullmailer jako relay do właściwego SMTP. Działa doskonale, ale teraz pojawiła się poboczna potrzeba. Ciekawe, czy to można łatwo przełożyć na postfiksa:

Da się takie coś ten teges? Relay 1:1 robiłem kiedyś, ale nie wiem, czy można takie myki z mapowaniem. Teraz jak tak piszę (gumowa kaczka) pewnie da się to jakoś poaliasować

The joys of self-hosting. Everything is fine for years and then night like tonight happens. My upstream, fire-and-forget, server got fucked in migration (not my fault, not my job) so I sitting thinking up a plan. I decided to sync my development databases while I think.

My home server's disk started to fail, took entire database VM. Restoring it is a no go, root went RO.

This might be my last toot. Goodbye.

I've been listening to podcasts since that became a thing and before it became The Thing and money followed. Many threatened that ads injection based on geo-ip lookup will become a thing. Took them long enough (or maybe it's my podcast selection) but today I'm getting Polish bank ad inserted into a British football podcast.

TIL RPi's 3.5mm jack carries an analog video signal and you can get your framebuffer onto an old TV with one config line. I'm going to do something stupid and suboptimal with this knowledge.

Me myself? I'm a professional. Your WiFi to eth repeater is acting up with an old computer? Just connect it it directly to the main router. Cables too short? Easy, that's why I got this 5 Euro switch. Everything is wobbling? Weight it down with a phone and a stapler.

I give you, the center of the Internet, please, do not disconnect.

I've spent entire night writing some cool stuff for the project. I was pretty content with it. Got some sleep and arrived at the office around 10, first thing I've learned is that the gov. body said our legal procedures are wrong and maybe we'll have to redo everything for this part I'm coding.

You can write in memory safe language, use proper types, mutex your mutex, have replications, tests, CI/CD, be very smart about it all and yet produce something completely wrong because we're still working in real world where eagle-eyed lawyers can spot a comma not to their liking.

Code's simple, human's hard.

I was trying to find an article about journaling in my Pocket's archives. Almost all results I get are about filesystems and databases. OK, change of the strategy, how about I change my query to "journal"? Scientific articles. OK, "notebook" then? A large archive of articles from blog I read that has notebook as a part of its URL.

Yet again leading a sensible e-life, with all the categorizations, archives and shit gave me nothing in a time of need.

OK, OK. Ktoś pewnie będzie wiedział, gugla nie ma co pytać, tam tylko psy kutasami wodę z kałuż piją.

Jak nazywa się poprawnie dźwignia zakończona czcionką w maszynie do pisania. Konkretnie ta część końcowa, odpowiedzialna za brudzenie kartki.

W moim prywatnym głowo-słowniku mówię na to per „młoteczek”, ale wydaje mi się, że to jakaś fałszywa nazwa, którą zmyśliłem.

Probably my new record in terms "oh fuck, did nobody look into keeping it current", after upgrading Debian 9 to 12 on an old machine I've found a geo database that was updated last time in… 1999. Now it's 2024.

Had a horrible few days so I had to take my mind off raging. Picked up that PIII I've been tinkering with, installed Debian on it, scp my installation scripts on it and made a carbon copy of my normal desktop. To improve things even further I connected an old black-and-white CRT to it.

It's prefect. I even did some work on it. The only things that differs this 20-something computer from my modern laptop is that its default browser is Dillo and I had to fallback on xterm as my terminal. I also had to change some color schemes to be more readable in colorless environment.

My vim configuration (nvim crashes on i386) for writing looks so inviting now, and you get calmed by an ambient music of fan and a click-clacks of HDD.

I got forwarded a screenshot of a post where someone is confused about what DOS is after trying to get DOOM running. SMH my head. It's in the name, DOS is DOOM Operating System, you run DOOM with it.
