Oh no you mean they said or did something confusing but ominous and threatening but jokey and bullying that wasn't very interesting or deep that doesn't really have a coherent argument either way I wonder what purpose it will achieve while everyone endlessly can't unpack it in any productive way while it doesn't even help the people who believe in whatever it was

Suddenly reminded of the switch to ten digit dialing in 1999/2000 where the phone companies had the brilliant idea of letting +1 continue to route through long distance carriers and billing, so, dialing 440-555-5555 was free, but dialing 1-440-555-5555 even in next door was like 10 cents a minute :D

Add to this now: linking or quote tweeting of violent and hateful rhetoric even to dunk on it. The message still spreads, and the hate is used to intimidate or undermine someone's believability "you don't get the joke" or "I just think it is hilarious"

There's a context collapse happening between technical sales managers and language model researchers and the overloaded nature of word definitions. A model developer saying the model or system has reasoning and can be measured on quality is not saying anything that a sales manager could or should equate to a robust system that can be measured to deliver customer value, and, in fact, is saying something quite the opposite of it were to be translated correctly, imo.
