I grow increasingly confident that mastodon's dominant position in the fediverse presents a massive obstacle to progress due to the way it is managed. I say this as an admin of a server running mainline mastodon. I will be investigating how to switch to a fork when time permits, and recommend other admins do as well.

I recognize this is not a novel position, as many people have been saying this for years; I'm merely adding myself to the chorus.

Finished Blasphemous last night, really enjoyed it. Solid 2d platformer metroidvania with fantastic art and weird vibes. Seems like it takes a bit of inspiration from Dark Souls' approach to death/respawn mechanics and storytelling, which is to say that it's tough but fair and the lore is inscrutable.

Retro gaming folks I need your advice: my PS3 is still running great but the controllers have so many phantom inputs I can't even use menus. And it's nigh impossible to find genuine replacements for Dualshock 3s. Heck, the counterfeiting problem was bad even back when Sony was still making them.

Any recommendations for workarounds, reliable third party offerings, or reputable refurbishers?

I've tried pairing a Dualshock 4, which works in some cases, but does not have full compatibility.
