A very minor rant, if @bookstodon will indulge me:

I was doing the January Pages Challenge from #TheStoryGraph - read at least one page every day of the month - but there was one day I missed because I stopped reading just before midnight the day before and then started reading just after midnight the day after. I'm mildly annoyed that the challenge isn't a bit more flexible, but it's fine, the terms were clear and I knew what I was getting into, and I don't really care that much about completing challenges in general.

However, I hadn't realized how much that daily goal was motivating me to read. So my gripe is how, now that I'm out of the running for this particular challenge, that whole portion of motivation is just gone. Unlike a goal of pages or books, where if I slack off for a while I still have reason to make up for it until the end. (Of course I still have the motivation that the books I'm reading are pretty good and I'm enjoying them, but that was there regardless.)

My headcanon here is that Nyah is smirking partly because of her superiority complex (the usual reason), and partly because she just learned about puns, so being able to make even a painfully obvious one is very exciting to her

It'd be fun to see a story where something happens to The Hulk where he gets stuck in his Hulk body but has the personality of a mild-mannered gentleman philosopher

Like, he's big and green, wearing a tweed jacket and smoking a pipe, leaning against the wall next to the fireplace pontificating about the ethical implications of deploying the Avengers to fight crime

Tony Stark, on the other side of the room, is whining about how the meetings never lasted this long with the other guy

Sometimes I find it fun to imagine how I would explain space exploration to someone from, like, the year 1200

I think we have found the most squarely bottom-of-the-"Bad Movie"-dip movie of all time

I'm gonna consider that last scene with Also Sprach Zarthustra and bees detached from the rest of this movie, otherwise everything is officially ruined

That's a lot of haphazard running and screaming for a little problem with equipment that you presumably built and have been maintaining this whole time, bee girls

If I count all the men in this town as monsters then the "monster vs monster" bingo square is a shoe-in, but that almost seems too easy

X-axis and Y-axis are definitely labels you would put on a radiation counter

Wait the sheriff is doing the followup with the dead guy's wife

Is the sheriff a bee guy? Please let the sheriff be a bee guy

(although I'm pretty sure I'm about to be disappointed)

Y'know when they put her in the bee chamber her mouth and nose were open but then when the bees came in they were covered

I know, I know, I shouldn't be bringing logic into this
