I ran some local tests with deepseek-r1 (a distilled version using Llama and Qwen). The reasoning output is impressive and can even be used to enhance smaller LLMs.

Now there is a new release of qwen which includes an improved HTML document “parsing” part and many other features.

Il m’arrive aussi de tracer un encadré au marqueur autour d’un passage marquant, de plier les pages quand je n’ai plus de mini post-it transparents (ou même quand j’en ai, mais que je suis trop paresseux pour aller les chercher). Et, parfois, du chocolat tombe entre les pages, ou quelques gouttes de thé noir s’y déposent… 2/2

Il m’arrive d’acheter des livres pour un seul chapitre. De commencer un livre, de le trouver mauvais après vingt pages, puis de le donner à des personnes qui, à vrai dire, ne méritent pas les livres (sans leur avouer que je l’ai trouvé médiocre). Parfois, j’extrais quelques pages avec un scanner ou une photocopieuse, ou je découpe celles qui me plaisent particulièrement. 1/2

I see a lot of discussions about Jack Dorsey coming to #FOSDEM. These debates are quite fascinating and not new, they’ve always been part of the broader free software and open source movements (which are far from monolithic). Personally, I believe we should welcome funding from any source, but we must not compromise by accepting the rules imposed by the financiers.
