I’ve been watching an 80s episode of #JustGoodFriends where the lead thinks she’s pregnant. She had to get tested by her GP! Being a teenager at that point, I didn’t realise that instant tests only came in around 1988. In those days it was apparently a choice between the doctor and a mini chemistry set. I feel old!

I left #Facebook in 2015. That doesn’t make me a #VirtueSignaller as Zuckerberg has been calling it, although I’d be happy to be that. It just means I could see which way the wind was blowing and I didn’t like the smell of it.

I never understood how Holocaust deniers could even exist until I noticed that we’ve a quarter of a million people dead from #Covid in the #UK, a lot of them due to lies spread by charlatans, and we’re already back to business as usual after a couple of years. As if it was no big deal. And no one went to jail.

I do sign the petitions to rejoin the #EU because that would be best but I don’t kid myself that it’ll happen in my lifetime (ie before 2040). We’ve stuffed ourselves good and proper, and the road back is not a short one.

I’ve worked out that if I live to the same age as my grandparents, and my life is a Monday-Sunday week, then I’m currently at around 10:20 on a Saturday morning. Shame it’s a six day working week.
