There is a some big misinformation on BambuLabs that I have seen and even Bambu themselves is propagating it.
There is this idea that LAN connections and LAN mode is insecure. Bambu in early 2023 in one of the very first updates for the X1C added and required TLS support MQTT (i.e MQTTS), HTTP (i.e HTTPS), and FTP (i.e FTPS).
So communication to your printer on LAN mode already uses the same security that you use to access your bank accounts but also is already authenticated with the access token generated from the printer.
Bambu has continue to lie and say that LAN connections are insecure but they solved this problem 2 years ago.
They also made it well documented.

Orcaslicer isn't playing ball with #bambulab.

This also just show how much bullshit was in thier original post as they stated they were "working with the developers of Orcaslicer". By working with they mean demanding and holding them hostage the same way they are treating their own customer base.

About every 2-3 months:
Boy i wish there was a better way to manage packages I need,
Man nix is exactly what i need. Lets try to get it running this time.
5 hours later. Straight up confusion. Conflicting blogs. Flakes? Are they here yet? What are they? Should i use Lix now? What of the 3 ways should install it. Should i use nix-darwin? What about home manager? Oh no. I don't have the time for this.

Reminder. You aren't really doing no code by putting Jinja into YAML documents. You are just making the code worse.

I have a Lenovo Slim Pro 9 that works great with linux but the audio amp just stops working until I rmmod snd_hda_scodec_tas2781_i2c and reload it which seems to make it come back until the audio goes idle and i then i have to repeat.
I turned on debuging on the module and i can't see something so it could be a firmware issue?
I've been browsing the linux-sound mailing lists but can't figure it out.
Any #linux #kernel nerds have any pointers of where to ask or things i can poke at?
