Today's visit at the Stasi museum was one heck of an experience! It showed just how paranoid the East German government was of its own people. They pretty much saw them all as enemies of the state, and yet still "hire" many of them as stooges.

The work at the archives is ongoing, trying to digitize as many documents as possible for research purposes including partially destroyed ones. Preserving these records also allows people to consult their own Stasi file. All of it.
