I've been restoring this 1973 AMC Javelin for the last two years. I did nearly all the work myself, except for sending the engine out to be professionally rebuilt by a friend who specializes in AMCs. Everything has been rebuilt-- suspension, brakes, interior, paint-- and it's been running since late October but still had a few outstanding issues like a dead speedometer and HVAC blower that only ran on high speed. Finally, everything works as it should!

This might be a good time to remind America that there is an alternative to private insurance companies. It's called Universal Health Care. It's not free, but it cuts out the middlemen. In my native New Zealand, it's funded by a National sales tax. The result per capita is roughly 1/3 of what we pay in the U.S. You can still buy private insurance if you wish. Might get you things like a private room or other extras, but good basic healthcare is guaranteed for all.
