I misplaced my soul. The world grew ugly, uglier, hurtful. Constant pressure on skin. Deep plunged into the bruising bullshit of how easily we forget to be human.

Only tears. A weight of them barricaded behind eyelids. Wasted energy, like a dam built without turbines, built to fail. What will drown, further down the valley, if I release the flood?

Somewhere there's a clean pocket of air. A gasp of time, clean, enough to begin again from. A salve, a slow antidote.

I wait.
