We weren’t made to process such suffering in real time on a global scale

We can barely process our own internal trauma let alone a catastrophe like this

Just thought of another thing happening on Jan 20th that, like the flags at half staff for Jimmy Carter, is bound to drive Trump crazy bc it’s not about him: that day is a federal holiday…. for MLK Jr’s birthday. So a dead white guy and a dead Black guy, both of whom symbolize the exact opposite of Trump, will both be honored that day, and there’s nothing he can do but whine. Think Prince John in Disney’s version of Robin Hood.
