This is a major improvement in terms of giving the users the ability to restore connections that were lost out of their control: Mastodon now notifies you if a serverblock means you loose people you follow or who follow you, including the ability to download them as CSV.

I've been asked more then once if I could "teach that #Evernote thing you do" - while in truth what I did (and then subsequently explained in what was nicknamed "The Evernote Session") was about the method, not the tool.

In fact, the tool was replaceable: it didn't even have be software, you could do it with paper with some folders or an reusable notebook that's your thing.

In the latest update for #office, #Microsoft enabled an option to allow them to train AI on the content of your documents. More on that here:

Fortunately for EU citizens this is illegal here due to #GDPR. The checkbox is still enabled by default, but the "more info" links to a different #privacy policy.

It still talks about "machine learning", but has a boxed remark about GDPR which excludes "your name, your e-mail address or any content from your files."
