Looks like AWS killed off a service at last.
QLDB will be no more from 31 July 2025 for existing users and new users can no longer sign up.
The strangest part is that the only notice of cancellation I can find is a Reddit post about an email sent to existing clients and the no new signups notice on the QLDB page itself.

I was tipped off by a blog post from AWS about migrating to Postgres (weird if QLDB was a going concern) https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/database/replace-amazon-qldb-with-amazon-aurora-postgresql-for-audit-use-cases/

Slack used to be the gold-standard in notification design, with multiple blog articles touting how much they think about it.
So how it is that when I read messages on my computer, they don't update the badge (or notification status) on my phone? iOS allows background updates via APNS to both of those statuses.
