I was hoping to make some progress on building the frame and legs for my table this weekend. Instead, I only got through tool and stock prep. So, enjoy my progress picks of cut stock, tools, and my trademark crudely hand drawn plans.

I just want to say to anyone that needs it. It's ok to cut your losses on #elonmusk. If you once supported him because he worked in EVs and solar, that's ok. You can say he's now a Nasi and a right wing charlatan. You don't have to cling to what you thought he was. Whether you choose to believe he changed or you come to realize he was always that way, it doesn't matter.

Replaced the power supply in my Athlon XP2400+. Forgot that the CPU fan is connected to a molex plug and not directly to the MB. So, new CPU on the way to replace the melted one. Hopefully I didn't do too much damage to the motherboard. 🤦‍♂️

Day 2

We haven't had any snow since yesterday morning. It's just slightly above freezing (0.2C/32-33F). So, it is melting but still a lot more on the ground than I expected. Roads are mostly passable. My son did a great job shoveling the driveway and we had no trouble getting out.

I can't figure out if I have a Solaris 8 config problem, a hardware failure, or something with my home network that isn't "Sun compatible". I can not get either the onboard TPE or the off board TPE+SCSI adapter to connect to my network. The Ultra 1 can see inbound traffic but nothing being sent is received on the other end of the link.

I have some old CRT monitors that I would like repaired, but I've never worked with voltages like that. Everyone says don't do this if you don't know what you are doing. I like living and avoiding major injuries. How do I learn so I can do this safely? I don't have anyone who's done this to help me.

Anyone know a good PLA that closely matches the Sun Microsystems Blue Gray color from their cases? Trying to print some replacement parts for stuff that broke and having some difficulties matching the color.

Edit: this no name Chinese PLA is the closest I've found. It is slightly darker but you can only tell if it's right next to an original piece. https://a.co/d/1eHxLiZ

Almost tried to install a 10000uF capacitor in place of a 1000uF capacitor.

I was only off by an order of magnitude...

What could possibly go wrong...

It's going to be an interesting "last" day of the season for the #Braves, #Mets, and #DBacks. All of this unfolds over about 3 hours today. Really hope the braves don't have to play on Monday, but I can't bring myself to root for the Mets.

I need Azure to stop deprecating stuff. I feel like every day is a new email telling me service x has to be migrated to y by date z. I've spent all summer migrating stuff that I just want to work to new systems that do exactly the same thing...but differently.

I'm done...

Bag #3

The wing section is getting longer. More colorful bricks in the center section. Not sure if those two orange pieces are permanent or will be removed later.

Bag #2

More pieces of white and this looks like the base of the wing. Some bricks with a series of gears. Looks like they are in the body and part of a landing gear mechanism.
