The cabinet and window #heatpumps that refuse to run below 40°F are annoying in this weather but still running well from about noon to midnight. They keep running to a lower temp than the one where they refuse to start, some bizarre algorithms in their controls. Both are inverter driven and use interchangable remotes even though the brands are different. Seems like a firmware hack is needed. Some plug that switches on a resistance heater would be handy if the compressor truly can't cop/cope.
