Since I'm on a mega-irritated roll these days, here's another thing. Apparently #Woodfin #NC has gone ahead with their French Broad River "wave" project, and it will actually open later this year.
This stretch of the river was so pleasant, and quiet, and we had High Five coffee to enjoy, and a small park. Now we'll be overrun with tourists and screaming kids.

This POS is our Rep for the area hardest hit, and he should know, he DOES know all the good that FEMA is doing here. The millions for our water system. The millions to pick up the storm debris, and to begin to clear our waterways. The hotel rooms and food and water and shelter.
But no, we have to "fix" it. The horrible, craven men.

Today continued our efforts to get back on local trails, this time an hour west of us. They had little damage in this area, and it was actually surreal to find all the picnic tables right by Deep Creek still intact.
A warm (60!) day finally, had a long fairly level stroll for a few hours. Still some snow and ice.

I am hoping for some guidance on #IndoorPlant #watering systems from any of our #plant folks who have tried them, or know something about them.
We may need to travel for more than a week or so, and I can't leave the potted plants on their own. Have folks developed a system to keep theirs alive (not including nice neighbors.)?
