Why you should never try to interpret test results yourself:

Doc called. Believes the labral tear is old and an incidental finding. It would cause groin pain, not leg pain. Since hip looks healthy otherwise, theory now is nerve pain. I hate everything.

For those following along on my hip saga, looks like I have a labral tear. A “small anterior superior acetabular labral tear” per the MRI. No idea what this means going forward as I still need to talk to the doc.

Just scrolled Bluesky for the first time in a couple days, and I have to agree with @chris in that the best thing about Mastodon is all the people who don’t use it.

And since I posted this the pain got worse and worse. Almost went to the ER last night but didn’t want to pay $4000 of deductible/co-insurance. Just saw an orthopedist. Best theory after x-rays is a torn/severely strained muscle/tendon in my hip flexor.
